Sandisk just released a 200GB microSD card, but it may be too late.

Here at the Mobile World Congress, many companies have came a long way to show the world what they have in store for the coming year; but not many companies have more to prove than Sandisk. They always been a leader in mobile storage for a long time but with the fact that many smartphone companies are moving away from solid state storage to cloud based, Sandisk may be in trouble. Though with all this pressure Sandisk still released an awesomely small 200GB micro SD Card. But with the price line of $400, can this really save them?

I'm sure Sandisk didn't like this but Samsung just announced their new Galaxy S6 series and it looks amazing. Why wouldn't Sandisk like that? Well because Samsung has removed the removable back feature and there is no slot for micro SD Card. That probably felt like a shot to the back to Sandisk because Samsung users have always been a reliable consumer of their micro SD cards when they weren't buying Samsung's overpriced one. The sad truth is that Sandisk had a nice decade with smartphones but i think it is time that they go back and focus on the camera industry again.

It's sad, but it's the truth; Apple, which holds some of the most brainwashed consumers, does not have a microSD card slot; Samsung, Which hold most of the Iphone haters, now doesn't have an micro SD card spot; and i'm not even going to consider Sony devices, but the only big smartphone company that has a microSD card slot still is HTC. And with every smartphone company wanting to get smaller and smaller i think it may be too late for Sandisk.
